Home Brewed Beer? where can I get home brew equipment?

A friend and I really want to brew our own beer. We have brewed previously in the States and miss the taste of a nice dark beer. Anyone know where in Thailand (if any) one can buy equipment, grains and malts, hops etc for brewing?

Its illegal to brew beer or wine without a licence in Thailand, even for own personal use, so as such there are no "Home Brew" shops

I was told it was legal for personal use. You just can't sell it....but that was from an immigration officer

Hi

Thors views are just be careful as too much beer is no good for health thats why so many pompooui men , I advocate just 2 pints a day of beer its just not worth going more really.

Myself I like to keep my awareness and intellect so im very careful , besides beer is cheap why brew your own are you cheap charlie Joes.

The bottom line is its bad for your health wallet and gut.

Thanks for the advice. I agree with you on keeping your intellect and awareness, and I don't drink often. Your also right about the beer being cheap here. Cheaply priced and cheap quality. I am not a "cheap charlie joe," just have a taste for good, quality beer, of which Thailand does not have. If any one is interested in brewing beer here there is a home brew mart in Singapore that you can order quality malts, grains, yeast, hops and equipment, although all of the equipment you need can be found or made in Thailand. This is Thailand, aka LOS. IMHO I would agree with T aus statement of home brew being available in many places. The old saying, were there is a demand,
one will find a supplier is true ecen here in Thailand.
I am from the San Francisco Bay Area, home of many famous brew pubs. But I have found that the beer here in Thailand is quite good...sba
