Hi Svend, or shall i say Thor? So nice to have an Icelander here with us, must be he first time. :mellow:It,s nice also because it gives me a chance to practice my old Norse language (Icelandic)

So let me ask you this? Correct me if i spell it wrong--Ok? Pepsideild kvenna hófst í gær með 5 leikjum. Markmenn höfðu ekki undan að sækja boltann í marknetið en alls voru skoruð 30. mörk í leikjum dagsins.Ekkert kom á óvart í úrslitum dagsins og ljóst er að knattspyrnuáhugamenn eiga von á frábæru sumri í kvennaknattspyrnu og má með sanni segja að aldrei hafi komið jafnmörg lið til greina að vinna titilinn.
Pls correct me Svend ;)

Amazing what an online translation device can do...............

"Iceland" er gjaldþrotamaður. Ef til vill the fólk vilja bráðum selja þeirra upphlutur til gera peningar eins og er búinn Tæland.

Colour me cynical................

Colour some folks brown cuz they are so full of it.

And now I shut up.

Yes Spindy crime rate drops where a legend of boxing fights .
Talking about the Philippines very loverly country by the way , When Ali fought Frazier in Manila the crime rate dropped then , when Ali fought the world stopped and watched him a true legend.
Saddly I went back to Manila to retrace the steps of the big fight mentioned unfortunatly there is nothing left only a very small museum and staute.

Hope this is a nice follow up thank you Svend

That Pacman has some smooth moves, is a truly great boxer and he's cool, I knew he'd have no trouble sending Hatton back to school.

555 Mighty Thor you may not or maybe right...But, for a bird's eye views perspective, crime rate has got nothing to do with boxing may it be for sparring amateurs or for clash of the titans titles LOL

Secondly, one thing I know was when a fighter (slugger) "represent his/her honorable country" to fight, then, that was the only time (if not best) the peoples unite for whatever domestic cause/divisions/polarization/idealistic reasons they might have ...

Finally, that "Thrilla in Manila" [Muhammad "Casius Clay" Ali vs Joe "Smokin" Frazier] was almost 3 decades past now (October 01, 1975) and therefore its impossible for you to find any trace of the said big fight LOL (Fact: there was no existing statues built known to Philippines for this match.]
But, the coliseum (Araneta Coliseum) whereas showdown was held were standing still so as to speak and a favorite venues for both international/domestic concerts/events.

This dog, is dog, a dog, good dog, way dog, to dog, keep dog, an dog, idiot dog, busy dog, for dog, 20 dog, seconds dog! ...

I agree & seconded...sad but true for Hatton the Hitman...perhaps, a 2nd rematch is Ok if and only if he wanna prove something (again) not bad idea after all

Sugar ray Robinson Willie Pepp Jack Johnson Gene Tunney Joe Louis all of them were great Champions
who was the best it who you like the best I was a fan of both Sugar Ray Leonard & Marvin Hagler
Rocky Marciano Gus Lesnivich Jake LaMotta George Forman Sandy Saddler I have not followed the sport in a long time but I would not call any of them the best but I would say all of them were great champions in there time
as for heavy weight division Jack Johnson was tremendous but in his time racial prejudice forced him
to take a dive to Jess Willard who in my opinion was not among the great ones he got knock out by Jack Dempsey
Rocky Marciano was one tough champion he would hit you in the arms and paralyze them that how hard he hit
I failed to mention Mohammed Ali another world great champ sadly he is very sick today I also watched the fight with Ricky Hatton & Pacman he is a excellent champion he will go down in history books as one of the great ones
just my opinion very interesting sport
