For your reference, chicken BBQ was good... I liked potato salad Pork ribs looked yummy too but I couldn't steal from Canada's dish so I had no idea how good the taste was.

ooooooooooooopssssssss sorry for wrong link.. I talked to owner today and no matter how many he will have BBQ .. and I went to hockey and some handsome young hockey players will be at Pelican Inn... I know thai girls do not like strong young athletes with money and want Mature man like me .. but these are very fine young men.. not drunken football players from UK .. but good Canadian men ( joking ).. and Chubby Ribs were so good I could not share ... so for good food.. good company and a good time join us on Saturday Feb 7 at 7 PM ( SirB says thai girl staff at Pelican are beautiful too ) .. See you all there.

No need reservation anymore... Canada uses his power (less) to reserve outdoor area for the party. Also they have BBQ every Friday and Saturday anyway so no problem.

Canada...... I shall be there, as I enjoyed the laid back atmosphere of the Pelican. Also the BBQ was impressive, the price is
very reasonable, and the quality and quantiy of food will ensure that not one person shall walk away hungey.
The atmosphere is laid back, casual and the staff all have excelent personalitys.
So Talok, this is your chance, redeem yourself. Treat Ms Muffin to a night out that, dress comfortable, nice atmosphere,
good food and drink, charming staff AND the BKK Chatters........ what more could one ask for? ........sba

Walked a few paces behind me and got the "howmuch" question from Japs & Germans, walked beside me and got the looks "what bar u work" from white-skinned female Thai 'educated office workers' (just the EGG types, u know, not all) and that got inscripted in her brain. Don't count on her. Sad thing is i'm not joking for a change. We get that at Bang Rak too, but not so damn much, and she doesn't seem to care there coz it's "our" area............

I even once encountered a fatass Brit 'female' as wide as i'm tall inquire me on Sukhumvit about the age of Ms Muffin and her sis that was along and asking what i was thinking that i was doing. I replied if she would like to check her ID card but then she would find out that she weighed 12.3 times Ms Muffin's weight. Her disgruntled hubbie dragged her away from the scene.

Yes Talok, that is quite common. If not said out loud the looks certainly say it. Even the apartment staff where we live had that mentality until they saw her dressed up in her "robes" for her graduation ceremony. The attitude completely changed.

Fact is that Thai people, and fat arse poms, are very rude when confronted by a farang male and Thai female. You just have to shrug and forget it mate. Nothing will change any time soon. I say go out and to hell with them. I won't be dictated to by racist, ignorant people.
